Job summary

Red Alpha is seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer to verify, validate, and continuously improve mission-critical geospatial applications and Java-based microservices.

You will design automated and manual test strategies, build test frameworks in Python, and collaborate with developers and system engineers in a DevSecOps environment to ensure performance, quality, and security before deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as stated.
• 2+ years of software testing experience on similar programs.
• Strong Python skills for automated testing and CI/CD integration.
• Experience testing Java apps, microservices and REST APIs.
• Experience validating geospatial applications and visualization capabilities.
• Familiar with QA best practices and defect lifecycle.
• Experience with performance and load testing to optimize systems.
• Excellent test documentation and collaboration in Agile/DevSecOps.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated and manual test strategies.
• Design and maintain scalable Python-based test frameworks.
• Collaborate with developers and system engineers to identify defects and improve quality.
• Support performance validation and CI/CD integration for testing.
• Prepare test plans, cases, and test reports throughout SDLC.
