Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment with an estimated end date of October 9, 2026. Work-from-anywhere in the United States or in-office in various offices, with temp-to-hire options if five days per week in Albany, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Omaha, or Richmond (VA) is feasible.

The role adjudicates high-technical-complexity indemnity claims for CT, DC, DE, MD, and VT. Overtime may be required per business needs.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in CT, DC, DE, MD, and VT.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required; two or more designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for a degree.
• License required in CT, DE, & VT.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate workers' compensation claims of higher technical complexity under direction.
• Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly, interviewing involved parties.
• Analyze claims forms, policies, and endorsements to determine coverage.
• Prepare reports for file documentation and claim reserves.
• Negotiate settlements and coordinate expert resources as needed.
• Communicate with insured, claimant and other parties; maintain case timelines.
