Job summary

Argo Group is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster for a temporary assignment, with a potential temp-to-hire path. The role can be performed in-office or remotely from anywhere in the United States, with an estimated end date of 9 October 2026.

You will adjudicate complex indemnity claims across CT, DC, DE, MD, and VT, under significant authority and guidance. The position requires five years of claims experience, a Bachelor's degree, and CT/DE/VT licenses.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years' experience adjudicating workers' compensation claims in CT, DC, DE, MD, and VT.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; two or more insurance designations or four additional years of related experience may substitute for the degree.
• License required in CT, DE, & VT.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how an insurance company monetizes.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Fluency in reading/writing English; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate high-technical workers' compensation claims under direction with significant authority.
• Investigate claims promptly, interviewing involved parties and reviewing records.
• Report trends to senior management and underwriters; document and reserve appropriately.
• Coordinate resources and expertise to resolve cases; conduct settlements when warranted.
• Maintain timely diary and ensure cases move toward favorable financial outcomes.
