Job summary

The Auto Club Group is seeking a Temp Sr. Accounting Associate to support accounts payable processes from a home office. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, for approximately three to six months with potential to transition to permanent employment.

The incumbent will review invoices, ensure policy compliance, input data into the disbursement system, reconcile ledgers, and respond to vendor inquiries. Competitive hourly pay reflects experience and responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Intermediate college-level coursework in Accounting or Finance or related field.
• Basic data processing with attention to detail and self-audit.
• Automated accounting systems and spreadsheet software.
• High volume invoice data entry and research of invoices/payments.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Knowledge of researching and analyzing financial data.

Responsibilities

• Performs accounting functions related to the preparation, maintenance and/or reconciliation of subsidiary and general ledger accounts.
• Reviews invoices for compliance with policies, duplicate payments and fraud control; enters data into the disbursement system.
• Analyzes outputs to identify discrepancies and initiates corrective actions to ensure ledger integrity.
• Verifies balances and clears reconciling items in a timely manner; compiles data and prepares periodic reports.
• Researches vendor inquiries regarding payment status and handles replacement checks per control procedures.
• Assists management in developing job procedures and responds to inquiries about account status.
• Responds to billing-related inquiries and provides same-day turnaround on rush documents.
