Job summary

New Season is seeking Telecounselors to provide individual and group counseling via a HIPAA-compliant synchronous video platform to patients served by New Season's clinics across the United States. Telecounselors collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Medical Director, Program Director, and Nurses to assess clinical needs and support overall well-being.

All counselors are responsible for completing patient, program and state-related documentation.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a Human Services related field and independent licensure in counseling in the state supported for hire.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multitask, work independently, and prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

Performs individual and group counseling with assigned patients via synchronous video communication.
Educates patients in all aspects of treatment, related health issues and steps to recovery.
Completes patient telecounseling screening, psychosocials, DAP notes, treatment plan, reassessments and other documentation within required time frames.
May work with patients to complete intake, admission, discharge and transfer paperwork.
Documents patient progress and completes required forms in EHR and other systems, maintaining compliance.
Participates in weekly Treatment Team meetings and maintains clinic relationships and scheduling communications.
