Placements24 is seeking a visionary Remote Telecommunications Network Architect to lead the design of next-generation network infrastructure. This fully remote role offers flexibility and strategic impact in a globally distributed team.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in telecom network design, strong leadership, and deep expertise in IP routing, MPLS, SDN, NFV, and cloud networking. Advanced degree preferred, PhD a plus, with experience across fiber, wireless, and satellite technologies.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field; PhD is a plus.
Minimum of 10 years in telecommunications network design, engineering, and architecture.
Extensive knowledge of IP networking, BGP/OSPF, MPLS, SDN, NFV, and cloud networking.
Experience with fiber optics, wireless (4G/5G), and satellite communications.
Proven ability to design and implement large-scale, complex networks.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end telecommunications network solutions including core, edge, and access layers.
Develop roadmaps and strategies for network evolution and technology adoption.
Evaluate hardware, software, and protocols to meet requirements.
Ensure designs are scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective.
Lead reviews and provide guidance to network engineers and designers.
Create architectural documentation, diagrams, specs, and best practices.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
