Job summary

RedMatter Solutions is seeking a Technical Writer to develop and maintain clear PKI-related documentation for DoD audiences. The role involves collaborating with engineers and subject matter experts to produce user guides, configuration guides, newsletters, and presentation materials.

The position requires an active Secret clearance and at least two years of relevant technical writing experience. This is a fully remote opportunity within the United States, supporting DoD PKI initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least two years of relevant experience in technical writing, technical documentation, or similar work supporting IT or cybersecurity programs.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly for audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Experience working with subject matter experts to gather information and incorporate feedback.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and document formatting.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and update technical documentation, including user guides, configuration guides, quick reference materials, FAQs, and best practices.
• Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to translate technical information for end users, admins, and stakeholders.
• Support documentation for PKI implementation, consultation and engineering activities, and SIPRNet PKI initiatives.
• Compile and edit quarterly newsletters using content from program stakeholders and templates.
• Assist with preparing white papers, decision papers, briefings, and other materials for the DoD PKI Program Management Office.
• Support community collaboration and customer outreach through presentation materials, meeting agendas, minutes, and action item tracking.
• Review documents for grammar, clarity, consistency, formatting, and adherence to templates.
• Track revisions, incorporate reviewer feedback, and coordinate review/approval before publication.
• Maintain current, organized documentation and knowledge resources.
