Team Carney, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Technical Writer/Editor to support NIC Curriculum Modernization, E-Learning Development, and Instructor-Led Training Revision. The position is part-time (about 20 hours/week) and fully remote within the U.S.

It is contingent on contract award and emphasizes collaboration with SMEs, instructional designers, and engineering personnel. You will write, edit, rewrite, and coordinate technical materials across the course development lifecycle, translating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing (or an equivalent Associate degree with experience).
• 3+ years of technical writing and editing experience, preferably for training, software, or government projects.
• Ability to write, edit, and rewrite technical manuals, reports, and training collateral.
• Experience collaborating with SMEs to ensure instructional accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and coordinate documentation across the full course development lifecycle.
• Write, edit, and rewrite technical materials including systems docs, user manuals, and training collateral.
• Produce technical illustrations and diagrams for training packages.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality control standards and industry style guidelines.
