Job summary

Qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree and 3+ years in editing/proofing; proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and accessibility tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or related field is required.
• 3+ years of related experience with editing, proofing, or copyediting highly technical information.

Responsibilities

• Researching, writing, and editing technical articles, white papers, reports, flyers, and other material (5 to 300+ pages) for publication at a professional technical level.
• Perform copy editing and document formatting as it relates to 508 within the Microsoft and Google suite of products
• Translate technical terms into plain language.
• Research, outline, and develop reports on technical concepts
• Perform QA/QC on a variety of documents and products
• Ensure products meet agency and department branding, logo, and 508-compliance guidance
• Experience working with Adobe Acrobat Pro and CommonLook
