Job summary

ITC Federal, LLC is seeking a versatile Web Designer & Technical Writer who blends strong visual design with the ability to write, edit, and review technical content. This role supports digital communications across announcements, websites and other assets, translating complex information into clear, accessible material.

The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, capable across design and content, and able to collaborate with attorneys, economists, senior management, administrative, and IT

Qualifications

• Experience with Section 508 accessibility compliance.
• Familiarity with web analytics and reporting (e.g., Google Analytics or similar tools).
• Experience designing for government, enterprise, or regulated environments.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to explain design and content decisions clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, re-design, code, test, implement, and maintain new web pages and sections of agency Internet and intranet websites.
• Create prototypes (including graphic design, navigation, and layout options) of new web pages and site areas.
• Collaborate with content providers and key web team members on project goals, audiences, schedules, and other aspects of project planning and deliverables.
• Establish layout, design, formatting and style guidelines for websites.
• Review and track web metrics and analytics.
• Research, evaluate, and report on new and emerging developments and trends in web design and web services.
• Effectively communicate orally and in writing when presenting ideas and recommendations to a wide range of audiences.
• Train end users, web staff, and agency trainers, regarding various aspects of agency web services.
• Ensure that new web pages and sections comply with Section 508/504 accessibility requirements.
• Implement, code, and test prototypes using HTML, CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, ASP, JSP, and PHP.
• Comply with plain writing best practices when creating content.
• Support web content administrators and QA analysts as requested.
• Prepare multimedia training and guidance tutorials.
