Job summary

Journal Technologies in Utah is seeking an Intermediate Technical Support Analyst to provide technical software support across web-hosted and on-premise deployments. You will troubleshoot issues, document resolutions, and collaborate with Product and Professional Services to escalate complex cases.

The role requires 2+ years in technical support, knowledge of Java, HTML, SQL, and scripting basics. Travel to client sites and after-hours on-call rotation are included as part of duties.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of technical support experience with web-hosted, on-premise, and/or cloud-based software applications.
• Experience with Java applications, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of HTML, SQL and related tools to support, troubleshoot, and document issues.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, JavaScript) is a plus but not required.
• Exposure to reporting tools such as Crystal Reports is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to customer support requests via telephone, email, and support portal.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and technical issues using established methods; escalate issues when needed.
• Track escalated tickets to ensure follow-up and resolution within SLAs.
• Collaborate with Product and Professional Services staff to resolve escalated issues.
• Log and track issues through resolution with accurate documentation in the knowledge base.
• Provide after-hours on-call support on a scheduled rotation; occasional travel to client sites.
