Job summary

ICF is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to work within a dynamic, innovative team in our Centralized Ops, Analytics & Technology group. The IT Business Analyst will support tasks within the software development cycle and manage system data and the business intelligence it provides.

Responsibilities include gathering requirements, defining design approaches, testing software, and delivering energy efficiency tracking and reporting tools. Remote work is preferred with location cues in VA or NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience supporting business analysis, IT systems, or software development projects.
• Experience gathering requirements and creating documentation such as use cases, process flows, and requirements specifications.
• Experience testing software, tracking issues, and collaborating with developers to ensure requirements are met.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the software development cycle including requirements, design, testing, and delivery of energy efficiency tracking and reporting tools.
• Work with stakeholders of IT systems to define the system requirements and design approach.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with team members as to the status of various tasks, including presenting during status update meetings.
• Develop an understanding of the client processes and procedures and assist with making improvements relative to technology.
• Work with a team of senior technologists to deliver solutions for clients.
• Support users through training, as well as provide one-on-one technical assistance.
