Job summary

ICF seeks a Senior Business Analyst to independently lead small to mid-sized projects and cross-functional workstreams. Remote in the US with preference for Illinois or nearby states, the role focuses on translating business needs into actionable technology solutions and driving delivery across the software lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a BA, strong Excel/SQL/Power BI skills, and the ability to collaborate with clients, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or related field.
• 5+ years in a Business Analyst or similar role supporting data-driven or technical systems.
• 2+ years prioritizing multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Support all phases of the software development lifecycle for tools that support energy efficiency program tracking and reporting.
• Independently lead requirements and analysis workstreams, facilitating workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• Document current-state and future-state processes and identify technology-enabled improvements.
• Translate business needs into structured project plans, requirements specifications, and user stories.
• Collaborate with senior technologists, developers, and cross-functional partners to deliver integrated solutions.
• Analyze datasets with Excel, SQL, Power BI to identify trends and insights; validate data quality.
