Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to help customers solve complex MongoDB problems across the ecosystem, including Atlas and Cloud Manager, with a strong focus on performance and security.

This is a remote role based on the US east coast, with a 6–9 month ramp and shifts that include a weekend uplift. You’ll mentor teammates and collaborate with product teams to drive impactful diagnostics and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux performance, memory management, I/O tuning, security and clustering.
• Solid understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, SSL/TLS and related networking concepts.
• Storage engineering with NAS/SAN/SSD experience and multi-pathing.
• Experience building and maintaining complex production database systems.
• Reading code and scripting in one or more languages (Java, Python, C/C++, JavaScript, Go).
• Ability to analyze issues across application, database and storage layers.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex MongoDB issues for customers, covering architecture, performance, recovery and security.
• Mentor and ramp new team members; contribute to internal tools for diagnostics and performance benchmarking.
• Collaborate with product management and development teams to represent customer needs.
