Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Tech Lead to drive a high-performing software team delivering AI-enabled life sciences data and services. You will guide architecture, mentor engineers, and own backend systems built with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, collaboration with product and architecture teams, and a commitment to learning in a dynamic technology landscape. Remote-friendly from the United States with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of people management experience.
• 9+ years of Java programming experience.
• 4+ years with Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• 2+ years on AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
• 4+ years in open source frameworks.
• Proficient with AI tools like Cursor and Claude.
• 2+ years practicing Agile methodologies.
• 2+ years with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL).
• 3+ years designing backend microservices with RESTful APIs and security.
• 4+ years using Jenkins and Docker for build/deploy.
• Experience in pharma/healthcare is a plus.
