Cuesta Partners, LLC is seeking a Manager/Sr. Manager in its M&A practice to lead technology due diligence engagements and guide teams in fast-paced private equity environments.

This role emphasizes technology risk assessment, architectural review, and business impact communication to investors. The position combines deep technical expertise with strategic client advisory and initiative-taking, including development of new service offerings and process improvements.

Qualifications

• BS or MS/MBA in CS, IT, or related field.
• Background as a software engineer or infrastructure engineer.
• Expertise in at least three of the following domains: Data & AI; Custom Software; Packaged Software; Infrastructure; Tech Talent & Org Structure.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.

Responsibilities

• Technology Due Diligence Leadership: lead end-to-end technology due diligence engagements across private equity transactions.
• Client Advisory & Communication: translate complex technical findings into clear business implications for investors and executives; advise on risk mitigation and value creation.
• Team Leadership: mentor consultants to ensure high-quality delivery across multiple engagements.
• Practice Development: develop new service offerings and improve delivery methodologies; support firm growth.
