This position requires a combination of deep technical expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to guide teams within fast-paced private equity environments. This is not a technical program management role.

You will assess the scalability, risks, and value creation potential across multiple technical domains and advise deal teams on technology risks, integration challenges, and strategic opportunities. You will also collaborate with the Practice Lead and partners to evolve service offerings and support overall practice growth.

Key Responsibilities
Technology Due Diligence Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end technology due diligence engagements across private equity transactions.
  • Evaluate IT systems, software architecture, cloud infrastructure, data environments, packaged software, and technical talent.
  • Identify and assess scalability issues, technical debt, architectural risks, and operational deficiencies.
Client Advisory & Communication
  • Translate complex technical findings into clear business implications for investors and executives.
  • Advise deal teams on risk mitigation, value creation opportunities, and post-transaction integration strategies.
  • Build trusted relationships with private equity stakeholders.
Team Leadership
  • Mentor and guide consultants to ensure high-quality delivery across multiple concurrent engagements.
  • Foster collaboration and elevate technical rigor within the team.
Practice Development
  • Partner with leadership to develop new service offerings and improve delivery methodologies.
  • Contribute to client relationship management and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Support the firm's growth through process innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and expanding practice capabilities.
Required Qualifications
  • BS or MS/MBA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Background as a software engineer or infrastructure engineer.
  • Deep expertise in at least three of the following five technical domains:

    • Infrastructure
    • Tech Talent & Org Structure
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing without direct authority and collaborating across teams.
Preferred Background
  • Experience leading technology due diligence in M&A transactions; private equity exposure strongly preferred.
  • Prior leadership experience managing teams in high-volume, client-facing environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts in clear business terms.
Compensation & Growth
  • Competitive base salary with an annual bonus.
  • Rapid career advancement opportunities in a high-growth consulting environment.
  • Remote-first role with quarterly team summits.
What You’ll Gain
  • Significant exposure and professional growth within private equity technology consulting.
  • Flexible working arrangements supporting work-life balance.
  • Influence in shaping the firm’s strategy, offerings, and client impact.
  • Collaboration with a high-performing, entrepreneurial team.
  • Comprehensive benefits including healthcare, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, PTO, and more.
