Job summary

Cuesta Partners is seeking a Technology Due Diligence & Private Equity Practice Principal to lead high-impact engagements in the tech due diligence and M&A advisory space. You will manage buy-side and sell-side processes, assess IT assets, cybersecurity, and data management, and work with PE clients to create digital value.

Ideal candidate has 7+ years in tech due diligence or related fields, strong leadership, and a client-centric mindset, with a background in enterprise IT and cloud

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technology due diligence, M&A advisory, or related roles.
• Deep understanding of enterprise IT systems, software architecture, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
• Able to distill complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
• Excellent client-facing communications with senior PE stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technology Due Diligence: manage and execute comprehensive assessments for M&A transactions.
• Provide strategic advisory to private equity clients based on technical assessments.
• Evaluate IT systems, cybersecurity, data management, cloud infrastructure, and scalability.
• Oversee day-to-day Cuesta deal team to ensure high-quality client deliverables.
• Support business development and contribute to new offerings and thought leadership.
• Mentor junior team members and build a high-performing team.
