H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced Virtual Tax Professional to remotely serve clients with diverse tax needs, backed by expert team and advanced tax training.

Day-to-day duties include tax interviews, preparing returns for individuals and small businesses, reviewing IRS transcripts, and using digital tools to deliver accurate service. Strong communication, ethics, and confidentiality are required; ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of tax preparation or review experience required.
• Experience with IRS transcripts, amendments, and prior year return identification.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with virtual collaboration across digital platforms.
• Strong knowledge of tax law and ability to explain personal tax concepts.

Responsibilities

• Take a consultative approach by understanding clients' financial goals and informing them about H&R Block products.
• Establish rapport with clients through empathy, active listening and trust.
• Conduct tax interviews to support retail and DIY online clients via virtual tools.
• Review and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses in IRS-compliant manner.
• Analyze IRS transcripts to identify missed prior year filings or amendment opportunities.
• Use digital tools to streamline the tax preparation process and enhance client experience.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
• Pursue ongoing training to improve tax expertise, customer service and tech skills.
