Qualifications

• Three years of tax preparation or review experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent education and practical experience will also be considered.
• Experience with IRS transcripts, amendments, and prior year return identification.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on virtual collaboration.
• Strong knowledge of tax law and ability to explain personal tax concepts.

Responsibilities

• Take a consultative approach by understanding clients' financial goals and informing them about HR Block products and services.
• Establish rapport with clients through empathy and active listening.
• Conduct tax interviews to support virtual clients via video, phone, chat, or email.
• Review and complete accurate tax returns for individuals and small businesses per IRS regulations and company standards.
• Analyze IRS transcripts to identify missed filings or amendment opportunities.
• Offer ethical, credible advice and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Stay up-to-date with tax laws, tools, and technology to ensure accurate service.
• Use HR Block’s digital tools to streamline tax preparation and enhance client experience.
• Collaborate with staff to improve client experience and meet office goals.
