Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer for a remote, 6+ month contract to support safety system deployments across robotics and fulfillment centers. You will coordinate with project managers, operations, and engineering partners to plan and execute upgrades with minimal business disruption.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in systems engineering or related fields, strong Linux admin skills, networking knowledge, and experience with AWS and scripting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Systems/Network/Infrastructure experience.
• Proficient Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP and common networking protocols.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and scripting (Shell/Bash).

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, upgrade, and validation of critical safety systems across fulfillment and robotics facilities.
• Coordinate maintenance change management activities for upgrades.
• Plan deployments with site leadership and operations; ensure readiness and training compliance.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to run upgrades during downtime.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot during implementation; document outcomes.
