The Department of Social Services (DSS) comprises the administrative units of the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA) and the Department of Homeless Services (DHS). HRA aims to fight poverty and income inequality by providing essential benefits such as Food Assistance and Emergency Rental Assistance. DHS focuses on preventing and addressing homelessness in NYC by employing innovative strategies to help families and individuals exit shelter and regain self-sufficiency.
Information Technology Services (ITS) is DSS’s technology services organization. ITS supports the daily, emergent, and long-term needs of HRA and DHS by creating and enhancing technology infrastructure and applications, including client eligibility systems, case management, housing, employment services, revenue-producing matches, and personnel systems.
ITS / Enterprise Networking HRA Infrastructure Network Services is recruiting for one (1) Computer Specialist (Software) II, to function as a Remote Systems Administrator, who will:

Note: To qualify as a Project Leader or Major Contributor, detailed explanation of experience is required. Experience in operations, technical support, QA, hardware, help desk, or end-user roles does not meet the minimum requirements.
Additional Note: To be eligible for Assignment Level IV, candidates must have one (1) year of experience as a project leader or major contributor in areas such as data administration, database management, operating systems, data communications, capacity planning, or online applications programming.
