Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a System Sales Applications Engineer - Intralogistics to lead pre-sales technical work and support for system solutions. You will translate customer requirements into technical concepts, perform sizing, develop BOMs and cost models, and support proposals through order conversion.

The role collaborates with sales, operations, and engineering to ensure performance, safety, and delivery. Travel up to 30-50% may be required for reviews and customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a engineering discipline or equivalent intralogistics experience.
• 3+ years in applications engineering, system sales engineering, or design/estimating.
• Experience with BOMs, cost estimates, and scope documents for engineered systems.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Sales: define system requirements, performance criteria, constraints, and success measures.
• Develop conceptual designs (layouts, descriptions, control narratives) aligned to customer needs.
• Perform preliminary sizing calculations for conveyors, motors, and throughput.
• Build BOMs, scope definitions, and technical clarifications for proposals.
• Develop labor/installation assumptions, risk assessments, and cost estimates.
• Lead technical reviews, design-to-cost discussions, and bid strategy sessions.
• Create/review proposal content and present solutions to customers (virtual/onsite).
