Job summary

Sedgwick in the United States is seeking a Senior Vice President of Business Development (Casualty) to drive growth, expand market presence, and build strategic partnerships. This leadership role guides the business development function, sets revenue goals, and aligns initiatives with overall corporate strategy.

You will lead a cross-functional team, manage key client and partner relationships, and ensure data-driven, compliant operations while mentoring a high‑performing group across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in business admin, finance, risk management, or related field.
• Possession of, or progression towards, CPCU and/or ARM designation required.
• Ten plus (10+) years of related experience in claims management or risk management, with a track record of leading growth initiatives.
• Executive senior leadership experience within a complex, high growth organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads the company’s business development strategy to support long‑term growth and competitive positioning.
• Identifies, pursues, and secures new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
• Cultivates and maintains executive‑level relationships with clients, partners, investors, and external organizations.
• Leads, mentors, and develops a high‑performing business development team.
• Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for business development initiatives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, risk management, or a related field
