Job summary

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a Survey CAD Technician II to join our team remotely. The role supports preparation of project deliverables and contract documents following company standards and client requirements, under supervision and with guidance from senior staff.

The position involves performing horizontal computations, drafting survey drawings, and assisting with boundary and ALTA surveys, with opportunities to grow in land development work and field coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree in survey, geography, architecture or civil engineering preferred.
• 3+ years of survey and/or CAD experience in land development/land survey industry.
• Knowledge of basic design concepts and technical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Convert information into electronically generated drawings and project documents with accuracy, neatness, and speed.
• Compute horizontal positions for planned buildings, streets, curbs, etc. for stakeouts.
• Draft final house location surveys from survey crew field notes and measurements.
• Check record plats for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting for review.
• Submit plots to county for review.
• Gain knowledge of ALTA Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and stakeout procedures.
