Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to oversee supplier quality assurance and development, including audits, qualification, and performance monitoring. The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and data-driven problem solving to drive improvements across supplier networks.

The position requires travel up to 50% during the initial year and 25–50% thereafter, with a Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years in quality or supplier quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience
• Travel rate of 50% will be required for first 6 months - 1 year in role. Travel from 25% to 50% thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Includes Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development with supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting assigned suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.
• Uses in-depth knowledge of quality and/or castings to execute policy and provide guidance.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
• May lead small projects with low risks and resources, and communicate performance expectations.
• Prioritize information for data analysis and use technical experience to make decisions.
• Collaborate with others to address day-to-day problems and drive continuous improvement.
