Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive quality for assigned suppliers, implement quality plans, and own supplier results. You will lead supplier audits, drive improvement plans, and work within cross-functional teams to ensure competitive performance.

The role requires 3+ years in quality or supplier quality, with travel up to 50% during the initial period. A Bachelor’s degree and knowledge of engineering drawings are preferred for effective execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience)
• Minimum of 3 years of quality, manufacturing, or supplier quality experience

Responsibilities

• Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, including supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring and assisting suppliers towards industry standards of excellence
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of quality or castings to execute policy and support related job disciplines
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
• May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements and communicate performance expectations
• Functions with some autonomy under defined policies
• Uses judgment to propose solutions beyond set parameters for day-to-day problems
• Prioritizes information for data analysis and uses multiple sources to arrive at decisions
