Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer for aerospace & defense with remote work option (Mountain or Pacific Time) and up to 75% travel. You will qualify and audit suppliers, review First Article Inspections, and lead corrective actions to ensure compliance with AS9100/AS9102 and engineering drawings.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field, 5+ years in quality/supplier engineering, and strong GD&T proficiency to drive supplier performance and high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in quality or supplier engineering within aerospace/defense.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102 and aerospace regulatory requirements.
• Experience with supplier auditing, quality planning and process validation.
• Willingness to travel to supplier locations up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and manage suppliers in line with aerospace and defense standards.
• Conduct supplier audits and capability assessments to ensure compliance.
• Review and approve First Article Inspections per AS9102.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier issues.
• Provide guidance on machining, coatings, painting, and related processes.
• Interpret drawings using GD&T to evaluate supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering and Operations to improve supplier performance.
