Job summary

Sigil Partners is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality, performance, and regulatory compliance for critical suppliers in Defense, Aerospace, and Medical technologies.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to drive supplier capability, continuous improvement, and zero-defect initiatives across the supply chain, with remote work options and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field, with Master’s preferred.
• 3+ years of Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality experience in technical manufacturing.
• Experience with regulated industries and direct supplier engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead APQP activities for new and existing suppliers.
• Evaluate, qualify, and approve new suppliers with Purchasing/Materials.
• Develop and maintain incoming inspection strategies with Quality/Receiving.
• Monitor supplier quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.
• Investigate quality issues and lead RCCA activities.
• Maintain supplier quality documentation, scorecards, and reports.
• Assess supplier capability, process controls, capacity, and scalability.
• Support Lean and continuous improvement across the supplier base.
