Job summary

SDI is seeking a Supplier Performance Specialist to join the SRM team. The role focuses on ensuring supplier compliance (OTD, confirmations, ASN) and delivering full visibility of order status to support maintenance work orders.

This 100% remote position offers interaction with suppliers across North America, with daily and weekly cross-functional communication, data analytics, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of procurement/supplier performance experience.
• Intermediate Excel skills with v-lookups and pivot tables.
• Motivated self-starter with strong sense of urgency.
• Strong systems knowledge; Peoplesoft ERP and MS Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review supplier compliance data and identify factors affecting operations.
• Implement supplier performance plans to achieve compliance.
• Conduct supplier meetings and coaching on OTD, confirmations, and ASN.
• Serve as first contact for supplier questions using Five9 and Oracle Service Cloud.
• Track performance against improvement plans over time.
• Analyze root causes to guide process or measure changes.
• Act as liaison between suppliers and Purchasing/Parts teams.
• Assist sourcing with backorder re-sourcing and quotes follow-up.
• Assist with match exception escalations to ensure supplier responsiveness.
• Maintain cross-functional communications through meetings and emails.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Some holiday and weekend coverage may be required.
