Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Subsurface Geoscientist for a fully remote position. The role focuses on integrating seismic, well, and geological data to build robust models that drive exploration and field development strategies.

You will work within a remote-first team, collaborating across geoscience and production disciplines. The candidate should have a Master’s or PhD in Geology/Geophysics, 8+ years in subsurface geoscience, and proficiency with Petrel/Landmark.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science.
• At least 8 years of progressive subsurface geoscience experience in Oil & Gas E&P.
• Proven expertise in seismic interpretation, well data analysis, and 3D geological modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of structural geology, sedimentology, and stratigraphy.
• Experience managing remote projects and collaborating virtually.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic, well log, core, and related data to identify hydrocarbon prospects.
• Develop and update 3D geological models and subsurface maps.
• Perform quantitative seismic interpretation and attribute analysis.
• Integrate geological data with reservoir engineering and production data for holistic models.
• Assess geological uncertainty and risk for exploration and development projects.
• Collaborate with remote geoscientists, reservoir engineers, and management via virtual platforms.
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and partners.
• Contribute to exploration and appraisal strategy development.
• Stay current with geoscience technologies and methodologies.
