• Experience managing remote projects and collaborating virtually.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a progressive exploration and production company operating within the global Oil & Gas sector, is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Subsurface Geoscientist for a fully remote position. While the role is remote, the successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting projects related to assets often located within regions like the Free State. This role demands a deep understanding of subsurface data interpretation, geological modeling, and uncertainty assessment to drive exploration success and optimize field development strategies. You will be an integral part of a remote-first team, leveraging advanced technologies and collaborative platforms to deliver critical subsurface insights. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic, well log, core, and other geological data to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon prospects.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in seismic interpretation, well data analysis, and 3D geological modeling software (e.g., Petrel, Landmark).
• Strong understanding of structural geology, sedimentology, and stratigraphy.
• Demonstrated ability to manage remote projects and collaborate effectively in a virtual team setting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data visualization and interpretation tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from South Africa.
