Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Lead Geoscientist specialized in Geophysical Interpretation for a fully remote role. You will drive seismic data analysis and interpretation to identify exploration leads and evaluate resources on a global scale.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in geophysical interpretation within Oil & Gas, with proficiency in 2D/3D seismic data and major software like Petrel, IHS Markit, and OpendTect. Strong collaboration and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Geophysics, Physics, or related Earth Science.
Minimum of 10 years of geophysical interpretation experience in Oil & Gas, with exploration focus.
Proficiency interpreting 2D/3D seismic data in varied settings.
Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.

Responsibilities

Lead advanced seismic data processing and interpretation.
Develop and integrate 2D/3D seismic datasets for subsurface models.
Identify and mature exploration leads and prospects from geophysical evidence.
Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and petrophysicists for integrated interpretation.
Utilize state-of-the-art geophysical software and workstations.
Prepare geophysical reports and prospect evaluations.
