Job summary

ICF is seeking a Substation P&C Designer to work on protection and control projects for high voltage substations (12kV–500kV). The role involves designing relay and protection diagrams, panels, wiring, SCADA, and communication drawings under a project lead, with QA/QC oversight and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• AA or High School Diploma required.
• 3+ years of detailed wiring design experience for substations.
• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Inventor, and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Design and prepare Protection and Control drawings for substations (relay one lines, three lines, AC/DC schematics).
• Prepare substation panel layouts and wiring diagrams; SCADA and communication diagrams.
• Coordinate with disciplines to ensure quality deliverables and QA/QC compliance.
• Incorporate vendor information and client standards into design deliverables.
• Pursue continuous improvement of engineering knowledge and performance.
