Job summary

DEPCOM Power, Inc seeks a Substation Assistant Project Manager to oversee planning, execution and completion of substation projects, including design, construction, procurement, scheduling and coordination with engineers, contractors and clients to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery. This role is remote within the U.S.

with up to 25% travel, requires experience in electrical substations and adherence to safety regulations and industry standards (NESC/NEC/IEEE/ANSI); visa sponsorship is not

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical substation projects and coordination with engineers/contractors.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, substation components and construction practices.
• Familiarity with NESC, NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of electrical substation projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.
• Manage design, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Conduct site visits, inspections and quality control checks.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
• Communicate updates and risks to senior management and clients.
• Procure materials and equipment for substation construction.
• Oversee contractor performance and adherence to specifications.
• Document and report progress, including financial tracking and closeout procedures.
