Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Substation Project Engineer to join our team. This fully remote role requires occasional client visits and in-office collaboration with the Framingham team.

You will guide substation physical and P&C design efforts, read and check drawings, and ensure quality from scoping through implementation. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years of substation design experience, excellent communication, and the ability to lead and mentor

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 8+ years of substations design experience.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Collaborator and leader able to work in a team environment.
• Self-starter who can work with minimal direction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and P&C design projects.
• Read and design substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring).
• Create and check bill of materials for substation designs.
• Perform quality control checks on designs.
• Support project lifecycle from scoping to final design and implementation.
• Occasionally attend site visits and collaborate with the team.
