Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Substation Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. This remote role in the United States involves design, analysis, and project lifecycle support for substation physical and protection&control projects, with occasional travel to client sites.

You will read drawings, prepare BOMs, estimates, and schedules, and ensure design meets client standards. Required: bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 4+ years of substation design experience; strong communication;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 4+ years of related substation design experience.
• Excellent communication and interaction with internal teams and clients to meet project needs.
• Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Execute substation physical and P&C design projects.
• Read and design substation drawings (one-line, three-line, schematics, wiring, plan-section drawings, conduit and grounding).
• Create and check BOMs for substation physical and P&C.
• Create and check estimates and schedules for various projects.
• Perform quality control checks on designs and provide complete project lifecycle support.
