Job summary

Sargent Lundy is hiring a Substation Physical Project Designer who will work on high voltage substation designs. This hybrid role involves both office and remote work from Boise, ID.

The position requires extensive experience in substation physical design, advanced drafting capabilities, and skills in leading project teams. We offer a competitive salary range of $94,247 - $143,989 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 15 or more years of substation physical design experience.
• Familiarity with ground-based Lidar, converting point cloud information to vector.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review substation drawings.
• Conduct field walkdowns and gather data at client facilities.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to designers and drafters.

Skills

Advanced knowledge of computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD and/or MicroStation)

Ability to visualize Equipment Details

Ability to multi-task from project to project

Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of a computer

Education

An Associates Degree in Drafting or equivalent technical experience

An Associates Degree in Computer Aided Design
