Echo Power Engineering, Llc seeks an experienced Electrical Designer for Substation Protection & Control projects. This primarily remote role involves leading design efforts, producing detailed drawings, and ensuring code-compliant documentation while coordinating with engineers and project managers.

The position supports travel less than 10% to project sites, offers mid-to-senior level responsibilities, and provides a strong benefits package including health coverage and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or related field preferred.
• 6–10 years of progressive engineering design experience.
• Experience supporting substation utility projects required.

Responsabilités

• Lead design development for complex electrical systems related to Substation Protection and Control projects.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, layouts, schematics, and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with Engineers, Designers, Project Managers, and external stakeholders to resolve design challenges and maintain project alignment.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and deliverable coordination across multiple active projects.
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, and technical meetings.
• Assist with field verification, site visits, and as-built documentation as required.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Designers and Drafters.
