Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead substation projects, including civil/site development, foundations, and equipment supports. Remote or hybrid work options available from the nearest office.

You will collaborate with a multi-discipline team, perform design calculations, and ensure adherence to safety, QA, and industry standards while mentoring developing engineers.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• PE registration preferred.
• Experience leading substation civil/structural design projects.
• Utility consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review civil/structural designs for substations.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to develop design packages.
• Ensure code compliance with IEEE, ANSI, NERC, and FERC standards.
• Provide construction support and site inspections.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain project documentation.
