Job summary

Powerserve Technologies is seeking a Substation Design Engineer (Civil/Structural) to work remotely from a Florida home office, supporting our EPC projects for major utilities. The role focuses on civil/structural design, foundation work, and site development within Florida.

You will collaborate with electrical engineers and project teams to deliver safe, constructible designs. Ideal candidates have a Civil/Structural degree and 3+ years in design, with AutoCAD/Civil 3D/STAAD proficiency and PE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of civil/structural design experience.
• PE licensure preferred or ability to obtain within 2–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Design civil and structural components of substations.
• Prepare and review foundation designs, steel layouts, and site plans.
• Perform engineering calculations and code compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure feasible designs.
• Collaborate with clients, utilities, and permitting agencies.
• Provide occasional field support during construction (Florida).
• Review drawings and submittals; ensure standards compliance.
