Job summary

Humana Inc. is seeking a Subrogation Professional 2 to investigate accident and claim events and determine Humana's recovery interests. You will gather information from members, providers, adjusters, attorneys, and other parties, review payments, and create and manage liens.

This remote, full-time role reports to a Supervisor. You will work across multiple systems, negotiate liens, and communicate findings with attorneys and insurers while maintaining HIPAA and data security.

Qualifications

• 2+ years subrogation claims handling experience in healthcare, property and casualty, or worker's compensation insurance.
• 2+ years phone customer service experience dealing with escalated situations involving attorneys, providers, and/or members etc.
• Microsoft Word/Excel proficiency — ability to create forms, reports, and documents.
• Experience multitasking within several computer systems throughout the day.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review new accident events to determine subrogation or liability.
• Contact members, providers, adjusters, attorneys by phone or email to gather details.
• Investigate facts of the accident or claim (what happened, date, location, fault, parties).
• Review claim payments and create/update liens.
• Negotiate lien repayment amounts with attorneys or other parties.
