Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions seeks a Subcontracts & Procurement Specialist to award, administer, and close out purchase orders and subcontracts across a wide range of supplies and services. You will negotiate subcontracts, ensure FAR/DFARS compliance, and manage supplier relationships to meet project requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or 3 years purchasing experience substitute), 3 years of specialized purchasing, and proficiency with automated procurement systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of specialized purchasing experience may substitute each other.
• Three years specialized purchasing and contracting experience.
• Knowledge and experience with an automated procurement system.
• Proficient in MS Office Products including Excel and Word at an intermediate level.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required DoD/clearance as contract position may require.
• Able to pass pre-employment background check and/or drug test.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional procurement support to internal business and operational teams, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
• Review purchase requests for completeness and accuracy; resolve discrepancies with requestors.
• Source, negotiate, and procure materials and services via approved requests.
• Perform market research, evaluate suppliers, issue RFQs/RFPs, analyze quotes, and select offers per criteria.
• Create and maintain purchase orders and subcontracts with accurate data.
• Track and expedite POs and subcontracts; manage modifications or cancellations.
• Maintain procurement records to comply with policies.
• Ensure activities comply with FAR, DFARS, and applicable regs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
