Job summary

Mountain Community Online School (MCOS) is seeking a Success Coach to be the consistent point of contact for students and families. The coach will support onboarding, monitor attendance and engagement, coordinate timely interventions, and help students progress in courses and Climb Higher Projects.

The role carries a caseload of about 125 students and requires occasional travel for events. Reporting to the MCOS School Director, you’ll work closely with teachers and families across a fully remote

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build trust quickly with students and families.
• Comfort managing a high volume of concurrent student relationships, with strong organization and follow-through.
• Reliable internet access, a dedicated home workspace, and commitment to the MCOS mission and culture.

Responsibilities

• Guide new and returning students and families through orientation, technology access, course schedules, and onboarding tasks.
• Maintain regular, personal contact with students and families; be the first point of contact and connect families with staff when needed.
• Conduct student check-ins and family conferences to review goals, progress, and concerns; coordinate interpretation or translation support as needed.
• Review learning platform activity daily, identify missed time or disengagement, and initiate timely outreach after three consecutive days without a login.
• Record and maintain accurate contact, intervention, and progress records.
