Job summary

New Mexico Highlands University is seeking a Student Assistant Coordinator for the Center for Excellence in Social Work’s NM Department of Workforce Solutions Evaluation and Training initiative. This remote role supports seven programs serving people experiencing insecure housing or homelessness in New Mexico.

You will provide high-quality administrative support, coordinate trainings and meetings, and assist with professional communications.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program or higher.
  • Strong administrative and note-taking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom.
  • Ability to manage calendars and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and organizing digital files.
  • Draft, edit, and format professional correspondence, reports, agendas, and training materials.
  • Coordinate virtual and in-person trainings, including marketing, registration, and technical support.
  • Communicate with community partners and training participants.
  • Maintain accurate data and attendance records for trainings and events.
  • Support special projects and research related to homelessness response initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Center team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and cultural humility.
