Job summary

New Mexico Highlands University seeks a Program Coordinator for the Center for Teaching Excellence (CTE) to support faculty development and teaching excellence across NMHU. You will align with the Academic Affairs Office and coordinate programming, resources, and invited speakers to advance teaching outcomes for diverse faculty and students.

The role focuses on coordinating workshops, training, and evaluation, with an emphasis on equity, inclusion, and best practices in pedagogy across delivery

Qualifications

• PhD or Doctorate in Social Work required.
• At least seven years of professional experience in related fields.
• Three years of administrative or supervisory responsibility.
• Experience leading applied research or program evaluation from design through dissemination.
• Experience collaborating with legislators or policy stakeholders.
• Strong scholarly writing and public presentation skills.
• Commitment to antiracist, anti-oppressive, and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement the mission and goals of CTE in alignment with the NMHU Strategic Plan.
• Collaborate with the CTE Advisory Board to determine professional development programs and activities.
• Meet regularly with the CTE Advisory Board to discuss programming.
• Develop and engage faculty resources, technology, and training in coordination with NMHU offices.
• Maintain content on the CTE website, including marketing.
• Assist the university in maintaining currency in pedagogy for multi-delivery modes.
• Prepare the yearly report on activities and participation.
• Coordinate budget planning and management.
• Maintain CTE records, library of resources, grants, and contracts.
• Track CTE participation and collaborate with other departments and community agencies.
