Job summary

Palm Beach State College seeks a Student Development Advisor to provide college-wide advisement, guidance on programs and services, and outreach activities. The role supports students in probation and suspension programs and reviews transcripts for course placement.

Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of related experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and FERPA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in student advisement or higher education is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of college programs, prerequisites, and transcripts.

Responsibilities

• Advise students on program selection, enrollment information, and course planning.
• Assess transcripts for course placement and prerequisites.
• Coordinate outreach, orientation, and advising activities for assigned caseload.
• Develop individualized Guided Pathways and monitor student progress toward degree/certificate.
• Prepare and distribute project communications and reports.
