Job summary

Actalent is seeking E1–E2 Structural Engineers for a long-term, 100% remote opportunity supporting nuclear power projects. Open to recent graduates through about 6 years of experience, with no prior nuclear experience required.

You will perform structural analysis, support plant modifications, and collaborate across project teams using industry codes and common structural tools. Hybrid Atlanta option may apply depending on assignment.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
Recent graduates or engineers with up to ~6 years of experience are eligible.
Experience or coursework in structural analysis, steel or concrete design is preferred.
Strong understanding of loads, load paths, stability and structural behavior.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analysis and design for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
Support nuclear plant modifications, upgrades and structural evaluations.
Analyze structures for static, seismic and other loading conditions.
Design and evaluate foundations, structural frames, equipment supports, and piping supports.
Apply AISC, ACI and ASCE codes and standards.
Use structural analysis tools (GT STRUDL, ANSYS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, RISA, ETABS).
Prepare calculations, drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
