Job summary
Actalent is seeking E1–E2 Structural Engineers to join a 100% remote, long-term engagement supporting nuclear power projects. Open to recent graduates and engineers with up to ~6 years of experience, focusing on structural analysis and design for steel and reinforced concrete under various loading scenarios.
No nuclear experience required; strong fundamentals and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams are essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering.
- Strong fundamentals in structural analysis, steel and concrete design.
- Experience via internships, co-ops, or roles with structural analysis work.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for steel and reinforced concrete structures.
- Support nuclear plant modifications, upgrades, and evaluations.
- Analyze structures for static, seismic, and other loading conditions.
- Design and evaluate foundations, frames, supports, and piping supports.
- Apply AISC, ACI, and ASCE codes and standards.
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers across multidisciplinary teams.
