Job summary
Amentum is a global engineering leader seeking a Structural Designer for the Oak Ridge, TN area. The role focuses on BIM modeling, drawings, and construction documentation for steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
Work is remote/hybrid with preferred in-office presence in Oak Ridge, plus travel as needed. Candidates should have 3–12 years in industrial, commercial, or nuclear projects and be able to comply with quality procedures.
Qualifications
- Sole US citizenship required to comply with government requirements
- 3-12 years of industrial, commercial, and/or nuclear projects experience
- Ability to follow established quality procedures and ensure work is compliant
- Competence using Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn new software as necessary for project success
- Comfort in a fast-paced environment with evolving requirements
- Experience using Revit and/or Tekla for BIM modeling and drawing production
- Working knowledge of AISC, ACI, IBC standards
- Ability to resolve interdisciplinary model clashes at a basic level
- Experience detailing steel and concrete drawings
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design process and develop BIM models and drawings
- Produce construction documents for steel, concrete, and masonry structures
- Support the Oak Ridge, TN office and adapt to project requirements
